Athletic Board Meeting, 6/3/10 Attendance: Troy Beam, Scott Rogers, Mrs. Cassidy, Mr. Bickett, Mike Mitro, Mrs. Z., Jamie Blanford, and Ali Sparks Troy Beam approved old minutes and Jamie Blanford second. Parish Hall location discussed: will be equipped for volleyball and basketball practice only and only when gym time is booked. Markings for courts is questionable. Discussion of handbook and suggestions made. Graduation: Recommended that the Spirit Award and Knight Award plaques be given at the graduation ceremony and the certificates given during the award ceremony during the day. Will begin adding minutes to the website. Mrs. Crawford had ad wall information ready to go out per Mr. Mitro. 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls' uniforms will be ready for July. They are reversible. Discussion of players who do not attend St. Joe and are not a member of the St. Joe parish being able to play sports when their school does not have a team. Example: If student attends Bluegrass Christian and are a parishioner of St. Thomas, can they play for St. Joe? Board decided that it was a case by case basis and that they would have to provide proof of parish membership. Mrs. Alm is coming off the board and the Mr. Wayne Morris will now be a member of the board. Mr. Bickett mentioned the need for an additional custodial position. Next meeting scheduled for August.
