Mrs. Janet Cassidy Middle School Social Studies Teacher Mrs. Janet Cassidy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has been teaching for 21 years, the last three years at St. Joseph School. During her grade school years, she lived in Germany, Texas and Morocco. She went on to complete high school and college in Great Falls, Montana. She is certified in 1-8 Elementary Education and minored in history. Family Information: Husband, Joe and four children (2 boys and 2 girls). Oldest daughter is a high school social studies teacher. I have five grandchildren, three girls and two boys, ages 16 months to 18 years. Favorite trip/vacation: My husband and I drove on spring break all the way to the Florida Keys and back in one week. Favorite childhood memory: Going to the bullfights in Mexico when I lived in Texas What do you like to do on a snow day: Sleep in late Facts about you: We moved to Bardstown this past summer--love living here. My oldest son spent one year in Iraq. Positive influence: My mother taught me not to be afraid to try anything and to depend on myself.
