Mrs. Jill Vittitow

Music Teacher

Mrs. Vittitow was born in Minot, North Dakota. Family Information: I have been married to the love of my life, Bruce, for 20 years and we have 2 great kids. Olivia is 11 and Blake is 8 years old. Education: I went to a small town school from K-12th grade--Max High School-- 18 total in my class. I went straight into college where I earned my B.S. in Music Education at Minot State University. We married the following week and m0ved to Northern California where we lived for 16 years until moving to Kentucky in 2005. Shortly after moving here, I began singing with the One Voice choir and cantoring. I have been the Children's Choir Director and substitute music teacher. This is my first year teaching music full time. Awards: I earned scholarships for opera while attending Minot State University. Interests/hobbies: I love watching my kids play music and sports; I love singing and directing in the St. Joe choirs, and I love working with photos, making slideshows, and video editing. Favorite sport: I like watching my kids play basketball and soccer; football and tennis are my favorite professional sports to watch on TV. I love playing tennis and golf, but do not get to do it enough. Favorite animal: Cats Favorite color: Teal blue Favorite TV shows: American Idol, 24, and I watch a lot of news programming! Favorite trip: Bruce and I took a cruise for our 15th anniversary and while in Jamaica, we did the Rain Forest Tree Top Rip Line Traversing. It was the most exciting thing I've ever done. What you like to do on a snow day: Go sledding with my kids! Favorite childhood memory: When I was 10, we took a family driving trip from N.D. to Southern California and stayed with some cousins who had a big house and pool! We did all of the fun Disney stuff and swam in the ocean. Positive influence: My Grandmother and her daughters (including my mother) have shown me what joy and peace come to a person when they have a deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. My Dad taught me a great work ethic and a love of family. What I like best about teaching: I really enjoyed subbing last year in music and working with the children's choir-they all have so much to offer in the form of their musical abilities and I look forward to helping them become even better! Favorite quote: "Before anything else, preparation is the key to success." Alexander Graham Bell
