Mr. Michael Bickett Principal Mr. Bickett was born in Marion County, Kentucky. Family Information: Married to Rosie for 25 years. We have one daughter, Olivia, in third grade at SJS. Education: I am in my 22nd year in education. This is my 4th year at St. Joseph School. I am a graduate of Marion County High, and University of Louisville with a Masters Degree and Principal Certification. I have my Associate in Catechesis. Awards: Elizabethtown Community College Hall of Fame. Hobbies: I love to sing and play my guitar, especially with family and the students. Favorite sport: My wife and I greatly enjoy Cincinnati Reds baseball games. Favorite animal: Black Labs, "Maverick" was a member of our family for 10 years. I still miss him! Favorite color: Red and black - St. Joseph and the University of Louisville colors! Favorite TV shows: I like the shows that encourage you to think. I'm a big fan of CSI - Las Vegas. What you like to do on a snow day: Make "snow angels" with Olivia and fix hot chocolate. First job: Working on a farm in Lebanon. My friend and I put up a fence through a pig pond. It was nasty. I will never forget how we smelled. Favorite childhood memory: Summertime, getting new clothes to wear to the St. Francis Picnic. It was exciting and adventurous to see all the people. Facts about you: Growing up we had very few extras, but the older I get, I realize we had extras that money can't purchase. My mother made our butter from the cream that my brothers and I milked each day from our cow. What you like best about teaching: We have the opportunity each day to shape, and nurture the spiritual growth and academic successes of young people for the future. It is a great responsibility but an awesome job! Someone who was a positive influence: My wife Rosie; she has encouraged and supported me for 28 years.
