Ms. Patricia Butler

 

Preschool Teacher- Four-Year Olds

 

Ms. Patricia Butler was born in Bardstown, Kentucky. She has been a preschool teacher and co-director for 9 years, all at St. Joseph School. She is fondly referred to as "Miss Patricia" by her students. Education: Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from St. Catherine College. Credentials: Associate Catechist Certificate Awards: St. Catherine College Distinguished Graduate Award Family Information: My mother and father had ten children. I have seven sisters and three brothers and I am third to the youngest child. I have one daughter, Tamara Butler; she lives in Lexington, Kentucky. Tamara works for St. Joseph Hospital. She has an Associate's Degree in Radiography and a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Management. Interests/hobbies: Walking, listening to music, working in my yard. Favorite sport/activity: I enjoy watching my great nieces and nephews play sports, going to the park and walking. Favorite color: My favorite color is yellow. Favorite TV shows: Dancing with the Stars, General Hospital and Good Morning America. Favorite trip: Virginia Beach, I enjoyed the late night walks on the beach, watching the sun set and early morning sunrise. What you like to do on a snow day: Put on a set of warm clothes, go out and walk around and admire the view. Favorite childhood memory: Going on family weekend fishing trips. Facts about you: I enjoy shopping and spending quality time with my daughter. I also like things neat and orderly. Someone who was a positive influence: John Phillips, he inspires me to believe in myself and the ability to get things done. What you like best about teaching: Seeing the faces of the children once they understand the task and become comfortable with their daily routine. Favorite Quote: "Reach for the stars and hope for the universe; anything is possible."
