| SJS 4th Grade Student Wins County Spelling Bee Chris Rice, 4th grade student, won his classroom spelling bee and then won the all school spelling bee, competing with students in the 4th-8th grades. In February, he achieved another first place, winning the Nelson County Farm Bureau Spelling Bee. He then advanced to the Kentucky State Spelling Bee where he placed 15th in the state. Chris is the first youngest SJS student to win the County Spelling Bee.
