| The "Joebots" Robotics Team Takes First Place in State for Programming Thirty students on four SJS robotics teams competed in the Regional First Lego League Challenge in Bowling Green. The challenge was to identify a problem in the food supply system, create solutions for the problem, and build and program a robot to manipulate the food factor obstacle course. The students were judged on four components: Robot Design & Explanation, Total Robot Score, Presentation of Problem & Solution, and Teamwork. The "Joebots" won the category for Best Robot Design which advanced them to the state Competition at WKU. The "Joebots" earned first place in the state in programming with over 41 teams competing. Team mebers are Clay and Nash Davis, Ted Garrett, Hunter and Woody McCoy, and Eli Wathen.
