Clubs

Robotics

The robotics club follows the FIRST Lego League program.  Teams of 10 or less research a real-world problem and are challenged to develop a solution that could actually be implemented.   They also must design, build, and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology, then compete on a table-top playing field made entirely of Legos.  It requires students to apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts (STEM).   They also develop critical thinking and team-building skills, basic STEM applications, and even presentation skills, as they present their solutions to judges at competition. Our team is open to students in 4th-8th grade.

Book Bee

Students in 4th-8th grades are invited to sign up for the Book Bee. The Book Bee is an annual competition among schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville in which students compete to answer questions about a set of books. The primary objective of the Book Bee is to excite students about books and reading! Practices and the competition are held during the 3rd quarter.

Choir

Students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th  grades may participate in Children’s choir. Middle school students may participate in Youth Choir. Both choirs practice once a week and sing at school liturgies, one weekend mass per month, and a few special events throughout the year.  We end the year with a fun “Thank You Party”!

Drama

6th, 7th, and 8th graders may participate in Drama Club. During the first half of the school year, Drama club members assist with the 1st Grade Musical and the Christmas Production.  They help with sets, props, choreography, sound, stage crew, etc. During the second half of the school year, Drama club students perform either a spring musical or play.  Auditions are held for part selection, and several jobs are available for back stage duties as well.
