
Mrs. Audrey Carney is the School Counselor for St. Joseph School as well as St. James School in Elizabethtown. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Mrs. Carney earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at I.U.S. She was born in Louisville, Ky.
She and her husband Scott Carney have a son and a daughter. Mrs. Carney enjoys traveling, boating and camping. She loves the water–both the lake and ocean. Her other interests include spending time with her family, scrap booking, and reading. Mrs. Carney’s favorite trip was to Mackinac Island, Michigan and her favorite childhood memory is of spending time with her family at Kentucky Lake.
Mrs. Carney describes her greatest accomplishment as writing her book, Holding On to Faith: Hope After Miscarriage and Loss, and her website which reaches out to other women and couples who have experienced a pregnancy loss: www.holdingontofaith.com. She describes her parents as having the most positive influence in her life through their acceptance of all people for the wonderful gifts they bring to this world. Mrs. Carney enjoys working with children and families.
