Kristy Hutchins

Mrs. Kristy Hutchins is a first grade teacher at St. Joseph. Prior to teaching first grade she taught a 3-year-old preschool class at St. Joseph. She has a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Kristy was born and raised in Bardstown.

  • What Mrs. Kristy likes to do on a snow day: Cuddle up with a great book
  • Favorite childhood memory: “We spent every summer at Green River and I will always cherish such great memories with my family.”
  • Positive Influences: “My most positive influences, other than my wonderful Savior, are my parents. They have shown me nothing but love and support and I wouldn’t be the person I am without them!”
  • Favorite thing about teaching: “I LOVE to watch the light in a child’s eyes when they accomplish new and hard tasks. It’s such a joy to know they love to learn.”
