Mrs. Melissa Wolf Bradley

Middle School Religion Teacher

Mrs. Bradley was born in Bardstown, Kentucky. Family Information: I am married to Shon Bradley and have three children here at St. Joseph School; Emily is 12, William is 10 and Ben is 7. Education: I attended St. Gregory through 6th grade, went to Old Kentucky Home Middle School, and then graduated from Nelson County High. I received my Bachelors in Business Administration in Management from Eastern Kentucky University. Number of years teaching: I have taught Religious Education for grades 1-8 for the past 4 years. Before that, I was a teacher assistant for Ms. Patricia for 2 years. Certification: I have my Associates Catechetical Certification and Jr. High Youth Ministry Certification. Interests/hobbies: Reading is my favorite hobby. I read every night after my kids are tucked in bed. Favorite sport/activity: I am too old to play sports, so I enjoy watching my kids play basketball or whatever sport they are "into" each year. Favorite animal: I have a Shih-tzu named Teddy that I love a bunch. He sleeps curled up next to my pillow every night...some nights we share a pillow. Favorite color: Green Favorite TV shows: I used to keep up with Jon and Kate Plus Eight, but have lost interest since they split. I enjoy reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond. Favorite vacation: My favorite vacation is going to the beach, any beach. I love sitting in front of the ocean, just taking it all in. What you like to do on a snow day: I enjoy bundling up my kids in layers and layers of clothes, watching them throw snowballs at each other, and guessing how many minutes they will stay out in the snow before coming to the door and letting me know "it's too cold" to play outside. Favorite childhood memory: Playing "tag" in the cornfield with my three brothers and neighbors. Facts about you: I grew up on a farm in Cox's Creek where we raised pigs (mostly) and appreciate the work ethic my father taught me...though I never want to live on a farm again! Someone who was a positive influence: My parents are the most positive influence on me. My father makes sure I keep my faith and my mother makes sure I keep my sanity. Favorite quote: "Physical strength is measured by what we can carry; spiritual by what we can bear." Unknown author
