Mrs. Shawn Bond

Fifth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Shawn Bond was born in Lebanon, Kentucky and graduated from Marion High School. Education: Mrs. Bond has a Bachelor's Degree Eastern Kentucky University and a Master's Degree from Western Kentucky University. She is Kentucky certified for Elementary grades 1-8. She has been teaching for 19 years, all at St. Joseph School. Family Information: I have been married for four years to Brian and we have a son, Hayden, who is in third grade at St. Joseph School. Interests/hobbies: Reading is my favorite thing to do! I also love going to the lake, boating and amusement parks. Favorite sport: I am not really a sports fan, but enjoy watching NASCAR races with my husband and son. Favorite animal: Dog- we have a 13 year old Yorkie named Penelope. Favorite TV show: Dancing With the Stars- I would love to learn ballroom dancing! Favorite color: Green Favorite trip: Jamaica- My husband and I went there on our honeymoon. What you like to do on a snow day: I like to sit in front of the fireplace in my sweats and read. What you like best about teaching: Teaching has taught me so much about patience, tolerance, love and communication. I am the student as well as the teacher.
